1 Mrs. Elms's Story K. G. (fl. 1868) , 1868 single work short story

'Purports to be the record of the author's nurse's life. She was born the daughter of an Essex gamekeeper, married at 17 and emigrated to Australia during the goldrushes. Her husband was murdered returning from the goldfields and her infant daughter died soon after. Poverty stricken she took a job as housekeeper for three rough bushmen who turn out to have been responsible for her husband's and others' deaths.' (PB)
