'Alex Hardy used to be the biggest thing in breakfast radio in Australia, but now he and his long-suffering producer, Lou (Louise) Carpenter, have been reduced to a late night dating show called 'Lovelines'. One night, in a desperate bid for ratings, Alex announces a competition for 'The Worst Catch of the Night' and his fragile world, filled with 60's soul music, threatens to fall apart.
