The eldest of six children, Liane Moriarty grew up in Sydney. An advertising copywriter, she has written in a range of styles and formats from websites and catalogues to television commercials and cereal boxes.
Moriarty published her first novel, Three Wishes, in 2003. Since then, she has released an additional six novels, including Big Little Lies, which was adapted by American television creative David E. Kelley into a widely acclaimed series, nominated for both a Gold Globe and an Emmy.
Moriarty is the sister of Jaclyn Moriarty and Nicola Moriarty (qq.v.).
