A brother and sister travel to Dartmoor to paint and to restore the sister's health. The brother is lost on the moor, robbed of his valuables and clothes by an escaped convict, and arrested as the escapee. A night in gaol and a summary hearing follow before his release - to find his sister and the household have not missed him. (PB)
