BiographyHistory

Judi McCrossin grew up in Wilston, Brisbane, the second youngest of five children. In 1980 she studied in Japan for six months as a Rotary exchange student and in 1984 worked in the Australian Pavilion at the New Orleans World Expo.

After gaining a BA from The University of Queensland, she worked with Channels Seven and Ten in Brisbane as a production assistant. She moved to Sydney and submitted a script, 'Fetch' to the Australian Film Commission, obtaining some funding to rewrite it. The film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. J

Judi McCrossin has been the writer for the popular Australian drama The Secret Life of Us, and has worked on developing a drama series for SBS based on the early years of Brisbane's colourful community radio station 4ZZZ
