Helen Elliot has been the literary editor of the Herald Sun, and has published literary criticism in periodicals including Monthly, the Australian, the Age, and the Griffith Review. (Only criticism of Australian authors is individually indexed on AustLit.)
In 2020, Elliot edited a collection called Grandmothers: Essays by 21st-century Grandmothers, exploring the multiple experiences drive how people interpret 'grandmother'.
