Terrington was a member of the Australian Poetry Lovers' Society. He wrote an unpublished 'History of Framlingham', describing early residents, incidents, and lifestyles, which is held at the State Library of Victoria, along with two scrapbooks compiled by Terrington containing press cuttings, including some on Adam Lindsay Gordon, poems by Tom Terrington and Edward Harrington, articles on Framlingham, and letters.
