Peter Sekuless graduated from the Columbia School of Journalism in New York. He also completed a degree at the Australian National University. He helped found the government relations firm Canberra Liaison in 1978, and remained a professional lobbyist for more than 20 years. He was also a consultant for the Australian film industry. Sekuless edited the Bulletin of Public and Corporate Communication for Charles Sturt University. He wrote The First Fifty Years : An Historical Review of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia 1928-78 (1978), as well as co-authoring (with Clem Lloyd) Australia's National Collections (1980). He also wrote Lest We Forget : The History of the Returned Services League, 1916-1986 (1986), The Lobbyists : Using Them in Canberra (1984) and Lobbying Canberra in the Nineties : The Government Relations Game (1991).
