After finishing High School, Ken Sloane moved to Sydney where he lived for four years before settling in Goulburn. After his marriage break down, Ken resigned from work and travelled through Egypt, Israel, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda and Zimbabwe for six months, and began writing the first draft of his novel, Silent Prayers.
He returned to Australia for two years after which he travelled to Vietnam. Ken later moved to Sydney where he went to Macquarie University and studied Anthropology and Archaeology. During a later trip to the Philippines Ken wrote the conclusion to Silent Prayers.
Ken now lives in Benowa on the Gold Coast and continues to write, using his travels for inspiration.
