BiographyHistory

Rayma Johnson is a Wiradjuri woman and freelance dancer and choreographer based in Sydney. Originally from Griffith, New South Wales, Johnson began her dance training with the Redfern Dance Theatre in 1987 and later with AIDT and NAISDA. She is a Freelance Performer, Choreographer, Writer, Actor, Dancer, and Director. Johnson has assisted in many workshops across Sydney and in Japan; some of her accomplishments include Choreographer for the Garrabarra Dance Company, a segment for the 2003 opening of the Rugby World Cup, and the Atlanta Olympic Games Flag Handover Ceremony in USA. As an actor, Johnson has appeared in Farscape, Water Rats (q.v.), One Born Every Minute, and The Eternity Man (2008), and as an extra in Matrix Reloaded.
