Vera Mackie has been Professor of Japanese Studies at Curtin University of Technology. She has published in the field of Japanese women and society.
In 2010 Mackie was an ARC Future Fellow in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Wollongong, working on a research project on Human Rights in the Asia-Pacific Region.
