BiographyHistory

Kevin Meade completed his secondary schooling at Banyo High School in 1968 and briefly attended the University of Queensland before taking up a cadetship with the Brisbane Telegraph. After a period of National Service in 1972, Meade travelled to the United Kingdom and Asia, and worked for a time on the Bangkok Post. In 2005 Meade published Heroes before Gallipoli: Bita Paka and That One Day in September; a book dealing with Australia's World War I military history in Papua New Guinea.
