BiographyHistory

Mari Paz Ovidi has contributed to the Spanish-language press in Australia since 1969. She has also participated in literary workshops for community reviews. In 1973 she was awarded the Prosa Prize by 'Club Espanol'. She has also won prizes for poetry and writing from 'The Spanish Cultural Society'. In 1999 she participated in Memories of Migration and The Spanish Experience in Australia, publications relating to the Spanish heritage in Australia. In 2001 she contributed a short essay on Spanish poetry to the anthology Many Voices.
