BiographyHistory

Jogmaya Narpatsingh was born into the noble Dhenkanal family in the state of Orissa and studied at St Joseph's convent, Cuttack and at home. When her husband was posted to Sydney she accompanied him in 1972 and returned in 1980. After his retirement in 1985 they remained in Australia. Jogmaya joined the Society of Women Writers of New South Wales and the Fellowship of Australian Writers (New South Wales Branch). Her poetry has been read on the 2FM radio program Poetry of the People and also anthologised by the International Library of Poetry.
