Caroline Moore came to Australia via Holland as a child in the 1950s. During World War II, her mother survived imprisonment in Belsen concentration camp and her father was interned by the Japanese in the Pacific. Moore drew on her parents' experiences in a migrant hostel for her play A Different Sky.
Moore has worked at the McDonald College of Performing Arts in Sydney as a teacher and as Head of Acting.
