BiographyHistory

The publishing house Ward and Lock, established in London in 1854, became Ward, Lock and Tyler in 1865, when Charles T. Tyler joined the firm as a partner. The firm underwent a period of rapid development during Tyler's period in the partnership, which ceased in 1873.
