BiographyHistory

Denys Peek grew up in Shanghai, China, and was living in Singapore when war broke out in the Pacific in 1941. Peek was taken prisoner and held first at Changi and then, in October 1942, was moved north to work on the Thai-Burma railway. Peek was repatriated to England after the war ended and moved to Australia in the 1960s.
