BiographyHistory

Marjorie Quinn was born in Sydney, the daughter of Patrick Quinn (q.v.) and niece of Roderick Quinn (q.v.). Educated at Loreto Convent, Kirribilli, she accompanied her parents on a visit to the United States after Federation. Quinn became a free-lance writer of prose and poetry. She was a foundation member and first secretary of the Fellowship of Australian Writers, a foundation member of the PEN Club, and secretary of the Society of Women Writers.
