BiographyHistory

Banjo Clarke born around 1922, lived on Framlingham Aboriginal mission, Victoria. During the depression he moved to Melbourne with his family. He had little formal edication, but learnt about life from the elders at Framlingham, and from other Aboriginal people who had befriended him in Melbourne. At the age of 15, Clarke became a boxer, and travelled throughout Australia boxing for over 40 years.
