BiographyHistory

Theodore Krakouer is the subject of the Prologue, 'Run-a-way Theodore: a Fictional Quest for Roots', Chain Letters : Narrating Convict Lives. Written by Terri-ann White, the account traces the Jewish Krakouer's life from his birth in the Polish city of Cracow to his conviction for theft in London, to his subsequent transportation to Australia and finally to his death in the Fremantle asylum.
