Victor Hyde wrote a brief history of the explorer Gregory Blaxland, Gregory Blaxland (OUP 1958) and was co-author of a series of primary school texts, Social Studies for Australians, in the 1950s and 1960s. He was also a writer of short stories, publishing a selection of his stories in 1984.
