BiographyHistory

Born in Estonia, Neggo arrived in Western Australia as a post-war immigrant at the age of eighteen. He spent three years driving trucks at mining sites in the Pilbara. After working briefly as a journalist with West Australian newspapers, he studied English Language and Literature at the University of Western Australia. For twenty five years he taught English in various High Schools, was an Examiner of English and in charge of English and General Studies in TAFE Colleges before ill health obliged him to take early retirement.
