BiographyHistory

Hart Amos was an influential and prolific early Australian comic book artist. In particular he has been noted for drawing the popular Devil Doone comic strip (1946-1969) which was scripted by the short story writer R. Carson Gold.

Amos attended Artarmon public School and North Sydney Boys high School, and later studied life drawing and oil painting at East Sydney Technical College.

He was the cousin of Paul Brickhill.
