Jean Ferguson has been a school librarian and a bookshop manager. She has lectured at the University of Wollongong in Children's Literature. She has also been a Senior Vice President of the Australian Booksellers' Association and Chairman of the Australian Booktrade Committee.
Jean is a regular contributor to the Illawarra Mercury with her Book Talk column in the IQ section.
