BiographyHistory

A trained graphic designer, Smyth worked as a designer, copy-writer and illustrator, before spending ten years designing clothing. She then started illustrating for a company who manufactured jigsaws and cryptic puzzles, and later started freelancing for various children's book publishers. Smyth has also written children's puzzle books in her Mad Maps series, as well as a series of nature books, Animals of Australia (1994).
