BiographyHistory

Rhonda Agius was born at Point McLeay Mission, now known as Raukkan, but did not live there. Her mother was born on a little island in the Coorong called Rabbit Island. Agius has worked as a teacher of Ngarrindjeri language, culture, and traditional weaving and has been a language consultant for the Curriculum Unit of the Department of Education, and taught in various schools as a cultural educator.

Agius delivered workshops on traditional Ngarrindjeri weaving at Ngarrindjeri Ngrilkulun '99 - the Raukkan Centenary Corroboree in Honour of the International Year of Older Persons.
