BiographyHistory

Janice Slater is from Badimaya Country. She was raised on a sheep station near Payne's Find, 430 kilometres from Perth. After initially completing high school to the year nine level, Slater returned to study in 1984 to gain entrance to university. She has worked in Aboriginal education, employment, and research. Slater has also lived in the Coffs Harbour area of New South Wales.
