Clarrie Isaacs was born in 1948; his country is around Margaret River, Western Australia. He is one of seven children, and was educated in Perth where he studied Technical Drawing at Perth Modern High School. He played an active role in many protests, including the Cockatoo Dock Strike (1989) and the Tent Embassy (1972).
Isaacs was an active trade unionist 1983-89, Branch Executive and Delegate to State Council of the Federated Miscellaneous Workers Union, and active in the Goonininup (Swan Brewery) site dispute. He was a radio broadcaster 1989-90 on the Golden West Network, Bunbury, and 6NR. Isaacs will be remembered for his tireless activism in Australia and international forums for his Nyungah community and the rights of all Aboriginal people.
