Phillipa McGuinness is a publisher at NewSouth Publishing and the editor of Copyfight. She has appeared at writers’ festivals, publishing seminars, and media and journalism conferences. An acclaimed non-fiction publisher, she wrote The Year Everything Changed: 2001, an exploration of the century in which we live via the events of 2001, including the death of her son. It was shortlisted for the Queensland Literary Awards Non-Fiction Book Award in 2018 and the Adelaide Festival Non-fiction Award in 2020.
