Margaret Steinberger has a BA, Dip. Ed., Dip. Teach. Lib., Grad. Dip. Lib., Dip. Arts. (English Honours), ALIAA, Dip. Freelance Journalism, Dip. Book Editing & Publishing, Dip. PR, Promotions & Publicity, Grad. Dip. Management (Arts), Dip. Travel Writing & Photography. She was editor of Orana, ALIA's refereed journal of school and children's librarianship and related issues. A former secondary school teacher-librarian, Steinberger worked as a freelance writer and book editor. She wrote Skills Work for WorldSkills Australia (2002) and edited Reflections, for BHP Newcastle (1999). She has lived in Hamilton, Newcastle, New South Wales.
