BiographyHistory

Michael White is a former science graduate, teacher and member of the pop group, The Thompson Twins. He has also worked as a newspaper journalist, a freelance scriptwriter and as a magazine science editor. He has been a full-time writer since the early 1990s and has written more than twenty books, mostly popular science and biographies of scientists such as Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, and Albert Einstein. His biography of Stephen Hawking, co-written with John Gribbin, was shortlisted for the Aventis Prize for Science Books. In 2002, White settled in the Perth suburb of Cottesloe with his wife and three children.
