Bibliographer, book historian, biographer, editor and librarian, Carol Mills retired as Director of Wagga Wagga Campus Library, Charles Sturt University, in 2000 after first being appointed as College Librarian of the Riverina College of Advanced Education in 1984. Before that time she spent 3 years as University Librarian at the University of the South Pacific and had been a professional librarian since the 1960s. Very active in the fields of the history of the book and the book trade in Australia, she contributed to A History of the Book in Australia, 1891-1945 (2001).
