BiographyHistory

Jenny Hearn worked for Radio National in the 1950s. She lived for a number of years in Port Moresby, where her husband Bruce was an army officer, returning to Australia in 1968.

Eighteen months after leaving PNG Bruce Hearn died, and with three children to support, Jenny resumed her acting career, appearing in many television commercials and in dramas such as Bellbird and Prisoner. She later taught language and communication studies at the Hawthorn Institute, before turning to the land and running a small fine-wool sheep property in Northern Victoria.
