BiographyHistory

South Australian poet and playwright Ameila Walker has a degree in nursing from the University of South Australia. An Independent Arts Foundation Scholarship awarded through the South Australian Youth Arts Board and Carclew enabled her first publication of Fat Streets and Lots of Squares; poems written about Adelaide. Walker's writing has been published in magazines and journals in Australia, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Germany and online.

In 2008, Amelia was a guest at the World Poetry Festival in Kolkata, India
