Lisa Gibbs and her sister Bernadette Hellard, co-authors of the Netball series, have been involved in all aspects of netball for many years and have played, coached an umpired netball games and competitions. Gibbs has studied for a PhD in health and behavioural sciences. She has also worked as a community services consultant, held positions in Arthritis Victoria, WorkCover Authority and the Deaf-Blind Care Association.
