BiographyHistory

Wiht husband Jack Blake, Audrey Blake was a significant figure in the Communist Party of Australia (CPA). Born in Melbourne as Audrey Elsie Boyd, she was educated at Albert Park State School, Middle Park Central School, and Melbourne Girls’ High School. She was also formerly a member of the Friends of the Soviet Union and the Young Communist League, and joined the CPA in 1933.

She published her autobiography in 1985.
