BiographyHistory

Gerald Kuchling was interested in tortoises and turtles from childhood. He received a PhD at the University of Vienna in 1979. From 1987 Kuchling worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia and worked as Principal Investigator of the Western Swamp Tortoise Recovery Team. He co-authored children's books with his wife, Guundie Kuchling (q.v.).
