BiographyHistory

Of Sri Lankan background, H. L. D. Mahindapala has published in English. He edited the Sri Lankan English language newspaper, the Sunday Observer and also edited the Daily Observer from 1991-1994 . He was President of the Sri Lankan Working Journalists' Association. He gained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Melbourne and has written some biography as well as criticism. His first poem was published in the London Magazine, and his reviews and feature articles have been published in the Melbourne Herald and The Age.
