Ben Naparstek studied arts and law (honours) at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2007. He was awarded a graduate fellowship to study with the Humanities Centre at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America. Naparstek was appointed editor of The Monthly magazine in May 2009. His selected work of interviews with leading international writers, In Conversation: Encounters with 39 Great Writers, was published by Scribe in late 2009.
