BiographyHistory

After leaving high school, Dawson worked in animation for almost 30 years. This work took her overseas and when she returned to Australia in 1991, she decided to concentrate on illustrating children's books. She says her inspiration comes from observation of everyday things and the way she thinks animals see the world (The ABC of Australian Children's Illustrators, 2005).
