A writer of of poetry and fiction, Belinda Rule studied Professional Writing and Editing at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Melbourne). She has been a fellow at SQuaw Valley Community of Writers (USA), a resident at Varuna and Bundanon Trust (Australia); and is a past winner of the John Masefield Poetry Prize. Her work has appeared extensively in journals and anthologies, including Meanjin, Australian Book Review, Antipodes, Eureka Street, Westerly, Sleepers Almanac, Cordite Poetry Review, Hecate, Islet, Best Australian Poems 2012, and Island.
She was a 2024 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellow.
