BiographyHistory

Terence Aubrey Murray was a sheep farmer during his early years in the colony of New South Wales. He went on to become a magistrate (1832-1840) and was subsequently elected to the Legislative Council as the member for Murray, King and Georgiana. The Weekly Register (1.22 (23 December 1843): 330) notes that Murray's leisure time was 'chiefly devoted to literary pursuits'.
