BiographyHistory

Hans Heysen was an influential Australian artist best-known for his watercolour landscapes, especially Australian gum trees, for his images of men and animals toiling in the Australian bush, as for his depictions of arid landscapes in the Flinders Ranges. He also won the Wynne Prize for landscape painting a record nine times.
