BiographyHistory

Bushranger active in the 1860s in the New England District of New South Wales. Associated with the town of Uralla. Ward was also married to Mary Ann Bugg, who was known to have accompanied him during his bushranging career. Noted by Carol Baxter (2011): 'she was not only his lover but his eyes and ears'.
