BiographyHistory

Thomas M'Ilwraith was a nineteenth century capitalist and Queensland politician. He arrived in Victoria but entered politics in Queensland and was Queensland premier from 1879 to 1883 and from May to November 1888. Contemporary newspapers expected M'Ilwraith's return to Australia in the late 1890s but ill health seems to have stopped him from travelling and he died in London.
