BiographyHistory

The son of James Allsopp, head of the brewery firm of Samuel Allsopp and Sons of Burton-on-Trent, Henry Allsopp, also known as 1st Baron Hindlip, and Sir Henry Allsopp (from 1880) was a British businessman and Conservative politician. He succeeded his father in the running of the family business and also represented East Worcestershire in the House of Commons between 1874 and 1880.
