BiographyHistory

A spin bowler, Shane Warne played cricket for Victoria and Australia (both Test matches and one day internationals). He also played at county level in the United Kingdom. Warne was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1994 and was selected as one of five Wisden cricketers of the century in 2000.

Shane Warne died unexpectedly of a suspected heart attack in March 2022, less than 24 hours after the death of fellow cricket great Rodney Marsh.
