BiographyHistory

Born in Ambala in the Punjab, Kim Philby was a high-ranking member of the British intelligence who notoriously served as a KGB operative. A member of the spy ring now known as the Cambridge Five, Philby defected to Russia in 1963 when it was revealed he had been working as a Soviet agent.
