BiographyHistory

Keith Miller was an Australian test cricketer and journalist. A World War II fighter pilot, Miller's flamboyant personality, movie star looks and devil may care approach to cricket caught the imagination of a generation of post-war sports fans, both in Australia and England. Later in life, when quizzed by TV interviewer Michael Parkinson on the pressures of playing cricket, Miller famously replied: 'Pressure, I'll tell you what pressure is. Pressure is a Messerschmitt up your arse, playing [cricket] is not.'
