BiographyHistory

John McLeod, known as 'The Quiet Stockman', worked on Elsey Station in the Northern Territory. McLeod is mentioned in We of the Never Never (1908) by Mrs Aeneas Gunn. There is a memorial plaque for McLeod at Elsey Station cemetery. According to the plaque McLeod is buried at Angaston Cemetery, South Australia.
